Beware!  If you visit an accomodation website with far-off views of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge across the water, then it is quite likely that the accommodation they offer is not inside the city area!  Wherever you decide to stay, make sure that it suits your vacation needs by being close to all the attractions you want to visit.
